I'll probably end up getting to bring him home soon. He was 6 weeks premature so he's still in the hospital, but today and tonight I get to take care of him to see if I can handle it I guess...in some demo room thing. I just hope that the demo room isn't in the NICU with all the other babies because I don't want people that I have no idea who they are watching me do things with him. I understand that the nurses and social workers HAVE to be there, that's a given...but random people? Not happeneing. I hope I'll have my own room. If I have to share it with someone else, I'll flip! I hate sharing rooms at the hospital with other people. Unless, that is, they talk to me and junk. It was weird with a 75 year old lady cussing people out on the phone...not so bad with a guy that's 6 years older than me, though...he was fun to talk to. Though he was more interested in the nurse that was taking care of him than he was in talking to me. Ah, well. A lot of the doctors there were cute anyways . But, there were a few nurses there that sucked...mostly because they were guys and had no idea how to apply a sanitary pad...the dude put it on me with the adhesive side against me. That hurt when the girl nurse changed it. She was like "You realize that you had the adhesive stuck to you?" and I was all like "Yeah, that's because guys don't know what they're doing" and then she laughed. The girl nurses are fun to talk to, the guys are strict and complain a lot. I was numb completely on the left side and kept dropping my ice and so I called the nurse every time it happened because I didn't want anyone to fall and they had told me to try to use the left side of my body...so, I did...and failed. But, yeah...he was like "You know we can't keep running back here to take care of you, we're busy" and it pissed me off. What kind of nurse acts like that? They're supposed to be nice, aren't they? That's a given...right? I guess not, but anyway, yeah...I'm really excited to take care of Cayden today and hopefully get to bring him home !
